Adam graduated from the University of South Australia in 2003 and has dedicated his time to private practice and the aged care sector. He has also spent many seasons working with high level athletes and sporting clubs.
Adam has a special interest in treating patients with shoulder injuries, sporting injuries and managing post-operative rehabilitation.
Adam opened his first private practice in 2008 in Adelaide before deciding to relocate to the Fleurieu Peninsula in 2013 to raise his young family. Adam loves working in a smaller community as well enjoying the beautiful beaches and surf of the South Coast.
Jo graduated from the University of South Australia in 2003 and has since focussed her clinical skills on treating patients in private practice.
Jo enjoys treating patients with back and neck pain as well as patients with neck related headache or migraine. Jo has undertaken additional training in Pilates, dry needling and the assessment and treatment of vestibular disorders.
Outside of work Jo keeps herself very busy with a young family, walking her dog along Goolwa beach as well as tending to the vegie garden.
Since graduating from University of South Australia in 2003, Matt has worked in numerous areas of the physiotherapy profession. After starting in the public hospital setting, Matt worked as a locum in the UK for 2 years before returning to SA and starting in private practice.
He has experience with SANFL football clubs and State Indoor Cricket Teams. Matt has qualifications in dry needling and is a GLA:D Certified Practitioner. He enjoys diagnosing and managing complex injuries to help his patients achieve the best possible outcome.
Matt also has extensive experience in the aged care sector, particularly in maximising ACFI claims. He also has training and experience in Occupational Health and an interest in injury management, worksite assessment and ergonomics.
Matt loves following sport, especially AFL & cricket, is a keen traveller and is struggling to keep up with his twin boys!
Sue has over 20 years experience working in private physiotherapy practises in McLaren Vale, Glenelg and Melbourne. She likes to use a combination of manual therapies to treat most conditions and is qualified to perform dry needling.
Sue is passionate about teaching Pilates for all ages to individuals and small groups. She is Pinc Pilates accredited and has an interest in physiotherapy management, Pilates and rehabilitation for all cancer survivors, especially breast cancer. Sue promotes the use of Pilates for a variety of chronic conditions to improve general mobility, stability, strength, balance and function.
Sue enjoys treating the weekend sports injuries and is keen to see gymnastics and dance injuries in adolescents.
Beth graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2017 and has been working at the Pt Elliot Physio clinic since.
She enjoys treating sporting injuries and has worked with football clubs both in Melbourne and now locally in Encounter Bay.
Beth is also experienced in physiotherapy management of chronic conditions and pre and post-operative rehabilitation. She is qualified in dry needling and a GLA:D Certified Practitioner. Beth enjoys using a combination of hands-on therapy and prescription of home exercise programs to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
On the weekends Beth can be found catching up with friends and family or relaxing by the beach with a good book.
Graduating from the University of South Australia in 2018, Bel is the newest member to the Port Elliot Physio team.
Bel has a special interest in treating patients with head and neck dysfunctions as well as sport and performance related injuries. She is committed to not only reducing pain and restoring function but is also passionate about reaching optimal health goals and outcomes for her patients.
Outside of the clinic you might find Bel in the surf or out training for her next triathlon.
Graduating from Flinders University in 2019, Rhys is the newest member of the Port Elliot team.Rhys has an interest in treating lower back injuries and providing a functional and holistic approach to chronic pain.
As a long-term footballer currently playing for the Victor Harbor Football Club, Rhys enjoys treating sports injuries and has a fresh understanding of life as a junior and adult athlete!
Rhys loves his sport and is always happy to chat about footy, cricket, tennis and basketball in particular.
Kate has worked at Pt Elliot Physio for over two years.
Kate has a young family which keeps her busy but when she has spare time she enjoys riding her horse, Monty.
Mel has been working for Pt Elliot Physio for 4 years. She enjoys being able to contribute to the warm and friendly atmosphere, welcoming and assisting our clients.
Outside of work Mel likes to spend time with family and friends and going for walks along the river with with her 3 dogs.
